One of the mort feature-rich 15-inch monitors available, the Sony CPD-E100 boasts of features generally found only in 17-inch displays. It can handle resolutions of up to 1280x1024, and supports advanced screen geometry and image controls like raster rotation, pin balancing, parallelogram and trapezoidal correction with support for colour control. A tiny button beneath the screen of the monitor allows you to reset the monitor to factory defaults and though easy to reset by accident the OSD can be locked to prevent this. The aperture grille tube enables greater clarity and increased brightness, making the monitor bag a high score in the convergence tests.
With very advanced screen controls, this monitor is a very good choice for professional users. However, the cost is very high compared to others in its range, pricing it out of reach of most.
